We are preparing a Request for Expression of Interest (Request for EOI) to invite qualified parties to install, operate, and maintain public electric vehicle (EV) chargers at selected Council-owned carparks and parking bays under a licence agreement. This initiative aligns with our commitment to help the community transition to low- and zero-emission vehicles by supporting expansion of the public charging network.

At this stage, no sites have been confirmed as viable for charger installation. The interactive map below and PDF maps in the right-hand sidebar illustrate the locations of all Council-owned parking sites in Alpine Shire townships. We are asking the community to help us identify which sites may be suitable for EV chargers, and which may present issues or concerns. Your feedback will help us rule out problem sites and highlight opportunities before the Request for EOI is published.

Any future licence conditions will ensure that chosen sites are accessible, minimise visual impact, and support fair parking and charger turnover. Once community feedback has been reviewed, we will use it to shape the Request for EOI. Please note that installation of chargers at any locations is not guaranteed – final sites will depend on commercial interest, feasibility and viability.

Please provide your feedback using the interactive map below.
