Alpine Shire Logistics Workshop

We have heard from producers within the Alpine Shire that improving logistics will benefit producers in our region. The Economic Development team are facilitating a workshop to support the process of finding collective solutions.

Revenue Management for Accommodation Businesses - Tourism North East

Grant Funding Opportunities
Landcare Agriculture - Biodiversity in Action Grant
This program aims to help improve understanding and management of natural assets on-farm by implementing and evaluating initiatives that restore biodiversity values. A minimum of ten projects will be funded and a minimum in-kind contribution of 25% of the funding is required. 
  • Two-year projects should be a maximum of $40,000 (ex GST)
  • Three-year projects should be a maximum of $75,000 (ex GST)

BizGiver Grants

This program aims to recognise the dedication that small business owners invest in making their dreams a reality. 

One grant prize of up to $5,000 (incl GST) is available. The prize will consist of payment for the product or service nominated by the participant on entry. There is no cash alternative instead of the price. 

Round 2 closes 7 May 2025.

As part of a pilot release, we are providing monthly summaries of Commbank iQ monthly spend data at businesses within the Alpine Shire. This data may be helpful for businesses to identify spending trends, target markets and customer behaviour.

Alpine Shire Council is partnering with local real estate agents to introduce the Take a Lodger Program, a creative solution to help address the region’s housing shortages. Industry Growth Program

The Program provides an Advisory Service to support SMEs and startups undertaking commercialisation and/or growth that will help build manufacturing capability within priority areas.

Beyond Blue have developed this program to give small business owners free and confidential mental health coaching. 

Delivered over 6 sessions, a NewAccess coach will work with business owners to provide support and practical skills to manage stress during difficult times.
