Volunteers are vital to the fabric of a community, and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate their time and commitment through this permanent mosaic.
Thank you to the Crackpots for all of your incredible work.
Together with The Crackpots, we want to honour volunteer contributions to your community with a permanent mosaic displayed in the Myrtleford Piazza – right in the heart of town.
The mosaic will take the form of a patchwork, with squares dedicated to volunteer groups and organisations in Myrtleford. The finished product will be a testament to all the volunteers that make up this vibrant and responsive community.
The launch of the first patchwork will be on Tuesday 20th May at the Piazza from 10.30am. The second patchwork will be in place by November 2025, weather permitting.
Alpine Shire Council was generously funded by the State of Victoria through Emergency Recovery Victoria's Community Recovery Hubs grant program and Australian Government in response to the October 2022 Flood and Landslip which impacted Alpine Shire Communities.
