Public Toilet Refurbishment

Council has engaged a designer and released a tender for construction of the toilet upgrade.

The refurbishment will focus on:

  • Installing a fully compliant accessible toilet
  • Providing an accessible carpark and safe connection between parking and the building
  • General aesthetic improvements
  • Modifications to help prevent pest birds from nesting and soiling the facility
Current Concept

Tennis Court Resurfacing

The existing asphalt courts are in poor condition and no longer used for tennis. Council plans to resurface the courts with a durable acrylic surface, incorporating:

  • Line marking for pickleball
  • Children’s play markings
  • A netball/basketball half‑court with a new hoop

These upgrades aim to broaden recreational use and support a wider range of community activities.

Court Fencing

Council is assessing cost‑effective fencing options that:

  • Safely contain balls and support play
  • Are visually appealing
  • Complement the existing character of the park and surrounding fencing

Improved Access & Shade

The Tawonga District Community Association recently installed new picnic tables near the playground. To support and enhance this community‑led project, Council will:

  • Install paved connections to link the picnic area with existing paths
  • Add shade sails to make the space more comfortable and usable throughout the day
