From 1 July 2027, glass will no longer be allowed in household recycling bins. Any glass placed in recycling bins after this date will be treated as contamination under State Government rules.

Council is now calling on residents to have their say on how glass recycling should be managed in the Alpine Shire once these changes have been enforced.
