Unleash your creativity with a lineup of FREE hands‑on workshops across the Alpine Shire! Try your hand at Garment Digital Printing, Sewing, Photography Basics, Youth Paint and Sip and Pottery Basics - perfect for anyone keen to learn new skills or just have fun making something original.
Open to Alpine Shire youth aged 12–18.
Spaces are limited, so grab your spot and discover something new.
This event is made possible with funding from the Victorian Government through the Amplify program, previously known as FReeZA. All events in the Creatives series are drug, alcohol, smoke, and vape-free.
MEET OUR CREATIVES:
Sewing with Little Stitches
Join Jess and Michelle from Little Stitches, these two know their stuff. They’ve been running youth sewing sessions for Mount Beauty locals and are experts in fashion design, so you’re in good hands. Jump in with the Little Stitches crew and create your own lined tote bag while learning the essentials. Walk out with new skills, fresh confidence, and a bag you’ll be proud to show off.
Pottery with Clay by Tina
Join Tina for a couple of hours of mindful clay play! Work with your hands to create something from idea, to sketch, to clay masterpiece! In this workshop you will learn about ceramics as a practice, clay as a medium and be given the skills and opportunity to create your own piece which will be fired in Tina's home studio. Each participant will have a piece to collect at a future date. So, whether you want to make a sculpture of your favourite pet, or a bowl for your morning cereal, this workshop is a wonderful to get a taste of clay.
Garment Digital Printing with Alpine Armour
Join Porepunkah local Scott for a hands-on introduction to garment decoration and digital printing. You’ll explore three different printing techniques while working together on a group garment, learning how each method works and how designs come to life. To finish, Scott will guide you through personalising your own cap using one or two of the techniques you’ve learned - a custom piece you can take home at the end
Photography with Sini
Get creative in this hands-on workshop with a local Bright photographer Sini!
Bring your own digital camera and you’ll learn the basics of photography and camera settings, then head out to practise with fun, guided photo challenges. We’ll explore light, angles and composition in a relaxed way, with plenty of tips and support along the way.
No experience needed, just curiosity and a camera. Perfect for anyone keen to try something new and creative, build confidence and see the world from a different angle, or should we say, through a lens.
Paint and Sip with Bright Art Bar
Join Lee from Art Bar Bright for a relaxed and colourful paint and sip made just for teens. Lee’s all about creativity without pressure, guiding you step by step while giving you the freedom to make the artwork your own. You’ll learn painting basics, explore colour and technique, and discover how fun it can be to express yourself on canvas. Sip on a fizzy drink, enjoy the good vibes, and walk away with a finished artwork that’s uniquely you. Perfect for anyone keen to unwind, try something new, and tap into their creative side.
