  • Engagement & Communications - Facilitating effective communication between the council and the community to ensure transparency and gather public input.
  • Libraries - Offering educational and recreational resources to the community, supporting literacy, and providing access to information and technology.
  • Visitor Information Centres - Promoting tourism and providing information to visitors to enhance their experience in the area.

Theme 2: Capital Works, Assets and Engineering

This theme includes:

  • Capital Works - Leading the planning and management of infrastructure projects to enhance community assets and construct or upgrade community facilities.
  • Asset Management - Strategically managing council-owned assets by conducting thorough assessments and planning maintenance.
  • Engineering - Providing expert engineering design, technical advice, and overseeing infrastructure maintenance to ensure sustainable development and operational efficiency.

This theme includes:

  • Waste - Management of the collection, disposal, and recycling of household and commercial waste through both kerbside collection and at our local transfer stations.
  • Property and Contracts - Overseeing the management and strategic use of council properties, and ensuring effective administration of contracts to enhance community services, and support infrastructure maintenance.
  • Facilities Management - Managing public amenities and facilities to ensure they are clean, accessible, and ready for community use.
